Housekeeping at Ihinger Hof
At the Ihinger Hof Agricultural Experiment Station, the "Housekeeping" Department is in charge of all housekeeping tasks. This includes preparing meals and beverages as well as planning and buying the required food. The proper storage of supplies and the calculation and budgeting of expenses for food and detergents is also among the responsibilities of our housekeepers.
One key task of the housekeeping department at Ihinger Hof is preparing meals. Staff, students and professors are provided with freshly prepared food. Today, Ihinger Hof also serves as a venue for block seminars and lectures. Students and professors spend one week at the facilities of the Agricultural Experiment Station and benefit from the full board provided by this department.
Another responsibility of our housekeepers is to clean and arrange the rooms of the station.
Room maintenance also includes caring for indoor and garden plants. Textile and laundry care not only includes washing, drying and ironing kitchen linens, tablecloths, bed linens and curtains but also textile maintenance and repair.
In addition, the housekeeping department is in charge of growing vegetables in the station's own house garden.
