Laboratory
The Laboratory at Ihinger Hof
Working closely with the experiments department, the Ihinger Hof laboratory performs the analyses listed below. The laboratory allows for generating nearly all data that are important for an agricultural experiment station.
Analyses that can be performed at Ihinger Hof:
- Total nitrogen, total carbon, total hydrogen and total sulphur analysis using the VarioMacroCube CHNS
- Extraction and analysis of nitrate and ammonium in soil and water samples using flow injection analysis (FIA)
- Phosphorus in CAL extracts using flow injection analysis (FIA)
- Perfoming analyses with the NIRS device (NIRS XDS) and development and maintenance of calibrations
- Mycotoxin analysis of deoxynivalenol (DON) in cereal crops (ELISA test).
- pH in soil samples
- Determination of the mass proportion of mineral grain size fractions in mineral soils of all kinds (soil texture analysis)
- Determination of the raw sugar level and the level of harmful nitrogen in sugar beets
- Determination of the sedimentation value using Zeleny's method
- Falling Number analysis using the Perten and Hagberg method
- Thousand kernel weight
- Grain size distribution using sieve analysis
- hl weight in grain samples
